Plant decommissioning isolates before anything is cut
Decommissioning is a sequence problem, not a demolition one. Every line has to be traced, isolated, drained, purged and proved dead before a cutting disc goes anywhere near it, and the order that happens in is the difference between a shutdown and an incident.
Residues are the part that catches people out: a vessel that has been empty for a year is not the same as a vessel that has been cleaned and certified, and only one of those can be cut. We work from your process drawings where they exist and survey where they do not, then issue a written isolation register that says what was proved dead, by whom and when.

Equipment that still has a resale market is worth far more lifted out intact than cut up for scrap, and the decision has to be made before the cutting starts because it cannot be made afterwards. Motors, pumps, compressors, tanks, switchgear and packaged units often have a second-hand buyer; the same items as scrap are worth a fraction of that.
The catch is that removing them whole is slower and needs access planned around them, so it only pays if it is planned into the sequence rather than discovered halfway through. We catalogue what is worth recovering at survey, tell you what the market for it looks like, and let you decide.
