Cabinets, counters, tile, fixtures and failed subfloor removed so your renovation starts from a known condition. The rest of the house is protected and the dust stays in the room being stripped.
Living Through It
Most kitchen and bathroom strip-outs happen in houses people are still living in, and that changes the method more than the scope does. Poly to the ceiling at the room boundary, filtered negative air so the pressure works inward, tack mats at the threshold and floor protection along the route to the door.
Done properly the rest of the house stays usable and the tile dust does not end up in the bedrooms. Done badly it is a week of cleaning that nobody quotes for. Services are capped by licensed trades rather than by the demolition crew, which is the same discipline used on any strip out.
Where the wall between the kitchen and dining room is going too, that becomes load bearing wall removal and needs shoring designed first, and pre-1990 flooring and tile mean asbestos removal is settled before anything is lifted.
How It Runs
Containment at the room line, floors covered to the door.
Water, gas and power isolated by licensed trades.
Cabinets, counters, tile and fixtures removed and hauled.
Subfloor and framing inspected before handover.
What The Tile Hides
Cabinets and tile come out to a predictable price. What sits underneath does not. A bathroom that has leaked slowly for a decade will have a soft subfloor, sometimes rotten joists, and neither is visible until the floor is up.
A kitchen may have three layers of vinyl and adhesive over the original boards. This is the single most common source of a renovation variation, and the honest thing is to say so before the work rather than after. We strip in a sequence that exposes the subfloor early, stop, and show you what is there so your builder can price the repair properly.
Multi-layer floor coverings run through floor removal, damp-damaged material may need mould remediation before rebuilding, and everything removed is sorted under disposal and recycling.

They told me on day one that the gas cap would take six weeks, not the demolition. That was the whole schedule and they were right.
Quoted a full removal rather than a partial fill, and explained why the cheaper option would show up on a survey later.
The asbestos survey came back positive on the floor tile. They stopped, abated it, gave me the paperwork, then carried on.
Lot was swept and the debris weighed out with a recycling breakdown. Neighbours never complained once about dust.
