Slabs And Drives
Driveways, slabs, foundations and hardstanding removed across Wethersfield. Where the volume justifies it the concrete is crushed on site and reused rather than hauled away and replaced with imported stone.
How We Work
Concrete is priced by weight going out and fill is priced by weight coming in, so a slab that leaves as waste and returns as imported stone has been paid for at both ends. Crushed on site it becomes granular fill for whatever is built next, and on any reasonable volume that saves more than the crusher costs to bring in. It needs room and a tolerant few days for the neighbours, so it is not always right, but it should be a decision.
We do the arithmetic at survey and tell you which side of the line your job falls. Slabs come out under slab removal, drives under driveway removal, and processing runs under concrete crushing.
How It Runs
What is there, in writing, before a price.
Permit filed, notification period started.
Abatement first, then the demolition.
Site swept, waste weighed and documented.
Local Detail
Services run under slabs far more often than drawings suggest, and some slabs are held in compression by tensioned steel that is genuinely dangerous to cut without releasing first. Neither is visible from the surface.
Scanning before cutting is the method rather than a precaution, and any contractor pricing coring or sawing without it is pricing a gamble with your building. We scan, mark and move a position rather than drilling and hoping.
Controlled cuts run under core drilling and sawing, footings under foundation breaking, and levels are made good under grading and backfill.

They told me on day one that the gas cap would take six weeks, not the demolition. That was the whole schedule and they were right.
Quoted a full removal rather than a partial fill, and explained why the cheaper option would show up on a survey later.
The asbestos survey came back positive on the floor tile. They stopped, abated it, gave me the paperwork, then carried on.
Lot was swept and the debris weighed out with a recycling breakdown. Neighbours never complained once about dust.
